Dodson's Michelada Recipe

We teamed up with our good friends at Dodson’s Bar & Commons for a delicious michelada recipe for Nava, our Mexican-style lager. They came up with their own in-house michelada mix and we will be selling kits on our online store! The recipe itself is super simple, and if you have yet to try a michelada we think you’re in for a pleasant surprise.

Dodson’s Michelada Recipe (recommended portions, adjust to taste and spice tolerance)

  • 12oz Nava (our Mexican-style lager)

  • 2oz Dodson’s michelada mix

  • 1oz lime juice

Glass: willi becher or shaker pint // Garnish: lime wheel, pickled carrot

1. Take a lime wheel or wedge, cut a slit in the lime and ring around the glass, then use the salt/spice mix to cover the rim of the glass.

2. Fill glass half full of ice cubes and pour in mix and lime juice. 

3. Add beer and stir (be careful not to over foam as the beer hits the mix).

4. Adjust mix to your liking. Add hot sauce if you want spicier, or sugar to calm down heat. 

5. Enjoy!
