Who Are We? 

Alma Mader Brewing is the realization of a dream to bring our best back home. Brewer-owned and operated, our beers reflect years of brewing experience and education around the country, culminating in the desire to make something exceptional of our own. 

Specializing in award-winning, hop-forward ales and lagers, and barrel aged treats, we bridge tradition and innovation with a steadfast dedication to perfecting every batch. 

Most of our beer is available exclusively in our taproom, where our small, thoughtful team welcomes you with warmth and intention. 

What’s In A Name?

The name Alma Mader (pronounced al-muh MAY-duhr) carries a two-fold meaning. First, it symbolizes a return to Kansas City, a place we consider our life’s alma mater—a foundation of learning and inspiration.

Second, commonly seen in Europe, incorporating the Mader surname into this project reflects our commitment to build something enduring, with the potential to be passed on. By giving the brewery my name, I hold myself accountable to the intentionality and excellence I whole-heartedly believe it represents.
